Hi I'm new to Shogi but really enjoying it here with this website design. I like using the "Czech" style pieces with the kanji and move style on the piece. It helps me remember as a newbie.
Anyways, I don't think I can attach a picture, but the piece design is blocked by the number that shows how many of the piece you have in the graveyard (not sure if that's the correct term but I think you understand). It makes it hard for me to quickly know which piece from the graveyard I could drop back on the board strategically.
I'm using browser on Android.

Hi! I don't know how to upload a screenshot, either... Anyway, I have tried several Czech piece styles on Brave in Android: indeed, the number of pieces in hand overlaps the lower kanji (in this case, the helping design).

In my experience, it is better to switch to only kanji style :) (start with single kanji, specially on mobile).
It would take you some games, but it is worth it. And it is easier than you would think. Try searching on youtube, there are several tutorials on how to recognize the pieces. As an example:
