The lishogi userbase isn't big enough to allow anon games like lichess. 80% of games in the lobby are anonymous, and every rated match is with someone much higher rated than me. There's no good ladder to climb, and people should be creating an account and getting rated to improve the pool.
Forcing people to create accounts would be against lishogi's philosophy.
You can create games with a -50/+50 rating setting both in lobby and correspondence. I doubt nobody will respond in the end. You just have to be patient. 🙂
Hello another current seven-kyu here with almost the same Elo as you. I do often enough get to play against 6-5 kyu players and sometimes even lower rated players so they are here you just have to wait for a bit.
Also if everyone has to make an account in order to play shogi mabye some people just won't want to play at all.
