Title. How does one become a bot?
To upgrade to a bot account you have to have a fresh account with no games played and then use the bot upgrade API which you can find here lichess.org/api#operation/botAccountUpgrade . This one is for lichess, so you’ll have to change lichess to lishogi when using that to upgrade your lishogi account to a bot.
There are a few clients to upgrade your account to a bot. Here is one: github.com/TheYoBots/Lishogi-Bot
