I'm wondering if lishogi has any plans on adding variants like Chu Shogi en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chu_shogi, Dai Shogi en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dai_shogi or Taikyoku shogi en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taikyoku_shogi?

Yup variants are planned, but not yet implemented. Can’t wait for variants to come!! Though I’m sure lishogi would be focusing on simpler variants. Taikyoku shogi is something I doubt will come in (imagine the UI).
bruh, instead of variants, we should be focusing on making muiltiplayer shogi games.
like what about a 18 by 9 board were two plays against two? it should be simple.

Chu Shogi would be a very nice addition though, even though it might take a lot of programming for all the pieces and promotions. Especially when you consider that pretty much every piece promotes to something different.
What about Sho Shogi? It should be much easier to implement.
Dai Shogi Would be interesting, though I feel a 15 x 15 board is too huge. Sho shogi is something new to me, I’ll try finding a place I could play that (seems there’s an additional drunken elephant apart from other pieces being same as that in shogi)
