Piece value calculations?

I'm very new to shogi (lichess background), but I'm wondering if it would be possible to sum up the 'value' of pieces each player has during a match and showcase who has more material value, similar to what you see on chess websites.

While it looks like there's a bit more debate on how to value shogi pieces in contrast to chess, i think choosing one system would be a good enough approximation? Here's wikipedia which lists a few:

This is very much a nice-to-have, but as a beginning shogi player it really would help me diagnose the exchanges / promotions during a game! And I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to implement.
