Pro commentated KIFs at the official JSA website:
This is the source of shogidb2's KIFs but shogidb2 doesn't keep comments and its GUI is pretty bad.

And more! JSA provides professional commentated KIFS with journalism at most events, find by going here:

See the clipboard at the side, it lists Shogi tournaments.
Click on a tournament.
If it says Battle relay on the hyperlink, click on it and once you connect, one of the Japanese top buttons should lead you to not a journalistic overview but an archive of tons of Shogi Matches.
Watch shogi live or on video (official JSA) abema.tv/now-on-air/shogi
I use Chrome and a Google Translate Extension that translates everything in a streamlined fashion.
Explore this with google translate on.
Gems and updated and everything, all without a paywall or vpn to japan, though protonvpn offers that free randomly along with US servers.
Also, this was probably linked somewhere before in the discord or chat.

** Explanation by one of the founders of Lishogi why there are not alot of free-floating KIFS like with Go with its SGF's
Read his translated blog <3
In this study, I will post KIFS that are a year old as per the terms on their website.
RE: www.shogi.or.jp/kifuguideline/terms.html
Honest to god this is really generous from them and helps bolster the community. I will put the translated reporters' comments (more legally dubious) just so a good experience is maintained. Not really skilled enough yet to comment on Dan-level plays.
Note: There is no reason for me to do this because they provide an online viewer and with google translate you can read all the comments.
Some tips;
There are buttons on the main ("live".shogi.or.jp) that don't translate, for which the third or the fourth button is usually the archive filled with KIFS. The blogs are always cool too.
As for the "live."'s with the board, to put KIFS into lishogi:
EX:
live.shogi.or.jp/ryuou/kifu/30/ryuou201711040101.html
First button (with the moves) lower left corner. Click, Copy original version (not translated) into Tools>Import Game
