I lived in Kobe, Japan for 2 years. After finding the おじいさん hangout at a local park I hadn't been to before, I learned to play Shogi. I came to like the game almost immediately.
I've been playing for about a year and a half. I'm about 6kyu against the computer, 5kyu in Shogi Wars and 11kyu in 81dojo because what even is a win ratio.
