As a chess player, it's hard for me to quickly read the board and tell which pieces belong to each player. Are there are colored shogi piece sets that could be imported to lishogi?
Yes!!! This would really help me to learn the game
I believe the piece sets in the [4th row 1st column], [7th row 2nd column] and [7th row 3rd column] are all coloured. Correct me if I’m wrong or have misunderstood something.
In my opinion, a (black and white) coloured set is not practical in real life, because pieces you take from your opponent can't be used (because of the different colour), for online shogi it might be possible.
But learning the proper way to play Shogi is the game itself, and Lishogi provided you with multiple sets to learn the piece movements.
