Similar to Lichess, there should be a Quick pairing tab on Lishogi if anyone wants to jump into a game. Considering that Lishogi's lobby/correspondence tabs aren't so filled with people wanting to play a game, I think it helps fill in the blank space as well.
I think the same feature was requested earlier, and the reason it wasn't implemented was due to lack of a huge player base. For now I guess that lobby is basically doing the same task as quick/random pairing with custom time controls. So unlike lichess where thousands of player keep lurking in the lobby here in lishogi you can barely find players waiting in the lobby.
So I feel developers might have preserved some task for the future when the player base increases exponentially.
