Compared with a standard browser Lishogi shortcut, my application offers several advantages:

- direct access to Lishogi through a dedicated Android application,
- a clean, app-like interface without browser address bars or unnecessary navigation elements,
- a more immersive experience, closer to a native Android application,
- a consistent interface regardless of the user's preferred browser,
- quick launch directly from the device's home screen.

I should also mention that I am not a professional Android developer. I have done my best to build the application carefully, It's virus free because, I build it with a premium play store app, even if play store contains a lot of scam, they are 100% virus free, it's the basic play store guaranty.

I found that lishogi was able to be set up as an app on Android via PWA automatically , for me is got it's own app icon and behaves like an app. It was an option on accessing the site from my phone. I was surprised not being a techie how seamless it was

I used the "Add app to home screen" option in Firefox to make Lishogi work like an app. It's okay. 🙂

What I'm struggling with is finding an app to play shogi offline against the computer.. any suggestions gratefully received!

Crossfield's app works in offline mode, I just tested it. 🙂

Both Lishogi & PyChess are now available in two apps, as usual they are open source. You can also use the same login.
