玉 - Jade (kit. 玉, pinyin yù, pall. Yu (often inaccurately translated as jasper) is traditionally extremely highly regarded by the Chinese, who call it the "stone of life" and consider it their national stone. Jade in China was valued above gold and silver, as it was believed that it has a healing effect, brings well-being and symbolizes the highest human virtues.

Chinese philosophers attributed to jade the five main virtues corresponding to the six human virtues; its soft luster represents mercy, its firmness represents moderation and justice, its translucency is the symbol of honesty, its purity is the embodiment of wisdom, and its changeability represents courage. An old Chinese proverb says: "Gold has a price, but jade is priceless." Confucius said of a good man ," His morals are as pure as jade."

王 - King. The traditional interpretation is that the three horizontal strokes represent Heaven, Man, and Earth. The vertical stroke is the king, the one who connects them. An older image of the character depicts a person like a person or a person above a horizontal line.

The modern interpretation is that the hieroglyph is a pictogram (象形 ) of an axe or crown, one of the two symbols of royal power. Next to the throne was a ceremonial axe, which in ancient China was used to perform rituals.
