Hi,
In new to shogi, playing against fairy stockfish lvl 3 at the moment after consistently beating lvl 1/2, any tips for the game? I went through the basic/intermediate/advanced tutorial sections, and I keep mixing up the pieces (which I know will get better with experience and time but it's annoying making stupid mistakes lol).

If you keep mixing up the pieces mabye try to change the piece style from your settings. Some of them have indicators on how the pieces move on the desing.
@Tasl I've never wanted to use the pieces that have arrows; it's the best way to never learn. I prefer using the two kanji pieces. I learned them in time and if I did, you will too! Ha ha!
I'm still having difficulties identifying certain pieces, especially the ones that have promoted but I trust that it won't last.
@ladyontheshogiboard That's how I've felt, so I've been learning with the kanji (making fewer mixups now), and memorizing promoted pieces is easier than I'd expected. Now I'm just learning to battle my ADHD because I keep making moves before thinking too much lol
