Push the Rook pawn.

In these examples some moves will be indicated with green arrows. Others you will need to find the best move on your own.

  1. KillerDuckyStill working on this. Would like to add a simple example of why advancing Knights early is dangerous
  2. KillerDuckyMaybe something similar for Lances, but edge attacks can get pretty weird
  3. Pulsariousoh cool!
  4. PulsariousI just started playing through the study
  5. Pulsariousthis is so cool that you can make our own stuff like this
  6. Pulsariouswe need to get omre players to come here from 81dojo lishogi > 81dojo :D

  9. KillerDuckyantoniodgreat, your castles study is great
  10. KillerDuckylishogi.org/study/O591ZfdK for anyone that didn't see
  11. antoniodgreatAh! Thank you very much!
  12. antoniodgreatI believe there's a typo on the Silver Sabaki chapter, on one of them it says,
  13. antoniodgreat"Instead of capturing the Lance, Gote should prioritize removing the Dragon."
  14. antoniodgreatIt should say, "Instead of capturing the Lance, Sente should prioritize removing the Rook."
  15. syncr0No it is for gote. Gote can capture the lance with the bishop
  16. syncr0It does not make sense for Sente to try and remove the rook. Allowing Gote to redrop the rook lessens Sentes advantage
  17. antoniodgreatAh okay, it's just kinda weird switching to gote's perspective for a sec
  18. KillerDuckyyeah maybe I should just remove that part
  19. KillerDuckyit's a bit advanced, this is supposed to be for beginners
  20. KillerDuckyI wanted to include up to making the Dragon
  21. syncr0I realized for the rook king fork it is more standard bishop exchange joseki to move Sente King to 42 then 41.
  22. syncr0Or even 52 for a more central house style
  23. DhessNone of the Pawn Drops would accept for me, and the Bishop drop in 12
  24. BiggieCheese42same here i view the solution and its the same pawn drop
  25. BiggieCheese42but it soesnt accept it
  26. KillerDuckyIt was a lishogi but, should be fixed now
