My name is Hayato and I do Kendo and currently i am 3 dan while I am still 19, i can speak and read both japanese and english. I was introduced to shogi when I was 7 and my dad taught me how to play, saying that the way you play your "cards" are similar to how you think in Kendo and that is how I started to like Kendo. My favorite character in the game is the Hi sha, and I love the movements of it because it can go anywhere from left and right, fowards and backwards, even when you reach the opponent's territory it can move one space diagonally, too. Same goes for the Kaku.
