In my case, my closest estimate would be around 8 000 games. I first started playing versus the Level 1 bot in Summer 2023, here on lishogi, but there weren't many players of my level on the site at that time so I began looking elsewhere, first at 81dojo and then, until recently, at Shogi Quest. Starting from zero, and without any tutors or training, I find myself now comfortably at the 1kyu-level, and I don't believe I will improve further from that level.
