@Adolf1945 I looked at your games and saw that you could improve your tactic on countering the opening where the pawn is backed by the rook and comes to your bishop. Here is how you can counter it: lishogi.org/embed/zSGR2T51#9?theme=auto&bg=auto The trick is that it works if you wait your opponent to allow you to eat their pawn with your own. Usually they won't try to eat your pawn at that point but playing this still blocks that tactic.

@dopesmoker, yes I did get that the username might mean that Adolf. I just didn't think anything of it because asking for hints on how to play this game is a pretty usual thing to do and also giving them doesn't just help the OP but the other beginners too.
