Hello
Again had an problem where I found a slower mate then the fastest one.
It drives my crazy that I still losse the same points where I found a bad move
So can we either make problems where there is only one mate or make points for side sulutions too. It ruins my problem rating for surly about 100 points or more and it makes people worse if they would take this traing serious#
Suggestring again the make training usable
Again a non answer?
Puzzles? Puzzles were checked 18 moves deep, which should usually be enough, but this was brought up before (github.com/WandererXII/lishogi/issues/373). I'm reworking shoginet now tho, so I will try increasing the depth slightly.
I mean finding a slower mate is still worse, no? It would still be the "wrong" move.
Plus, if any length mating sequence was allowed to be valid, I feel like the shoginet engine would either have to search a whole lot deeper to find every possible mate line, or the lines would have to calculated live during the puzzle. I'm not sure either of those would be feasible.
Theoritical yes
But from am pratical standpoint a player will losse more when he only searches for the fastest more complex mate than for mate in general
So side varations gave always full points in our chessclub training(espacially for kids and inermidiate
Prove that this does not work I am 150 points under my practical rating with my puzzle rating( lost 73 points today
Even ignoring that I am espacially worse at the non practical studylike problems
