I have been playing shogi for arround a month and I am now stuck at a point when I have difficulties to find new ways to atack during the middle game. Is there any typical pattern or combination I should know about (aside from the classic rook + pawn + silver)? I would be very pleased if anyone could tell me about it and give me an example :).
As we have just started a correspondence game I'm following this thread for insight :)))
1. Try exchanging the slower pieces( gold, silver) so you can dop them in the atack.
2. Silver walkng is a good methode to getting a general in the attack
3. if your opoent castled on the site try a sdepawn push to either getting one lance into the game or tarade it of
4. Luring the knight with a pawn sacrifice
5. DOnt close the rook line if posiblle
6 Change the ook line when nessecairy
