- all kanjis on the Shogi pieces are replaced by different facial expressions of Nicolas Cage, while all other piece sets are abolished
- every time someone wins, his or her national anthem is played site-wide to everybody else and it can't be muted
- you're allowed to cheat in a game, but the game must last for over 300 moves
- on Fridays, the lances are replaced by Chess queens (which are displayed by Nicolas Cage wearing a wig)
- every time a piece gets captured, you see a 15-second clip of a Mortal Kombat-style fatality
- once an hour, the whole site goes black for a moment and once it's back up again, there's a random piece missing in every ongoing game
- the terms 'dan' and 'kyu' are replaced with 'chad' and 'virgin'
- if you lose twice in a row, you get banned for suspected sandbagging
