I wish popular English songs after Pink Floyd included such vivid, contemplative lyrics (assisted by several translations and DeepL). Complaining is a terrible thing for adults to do under any circumstance, and yet we have a song about a need to breathe:
> ... the selfish ray gun firing wildly the nonsense of the powerful
> A license to kill, crafted by Haute Couture
> The game of musical chairs that created divisions
> A baby conceived through painless labor
> The grand inside joke we call “history”
> I want to live, but I’m told to die
> I want to die, but I'm told to live
> I want to live, but I’m told to die
> I want to die, but I'm told to live
> Is it wrong to brag about being happy? Is it wrong to complain about being unhappy?
> Avoiding presumptuous words, for a bright future
> [1, 2], “There are so many people in this world who can't even breathe.”
> [1, 2], “There are so many people in this world who can't even breathe.”
> When one side stands, the other falls; giving way, taking, defending, and misunderstandings
> Stop right there in the minefield—be a good dog, woof.
> Nobility obligates (no-breath obligation)
> Nobility obligates (no-breath obligation)
> Nobility obligates (no-breath obligation)
> Nobility obligates (no-breath obligation)
> I love you beneath the surface of these suffocating days...
