Hi everyone! I’m working on a small, fun project and hoping someone here might want to join in.
I’m creating a chibi style graphic novel about a student who joins a school shogi club and learns the game step by step. It’s meant to be cute, simple, and welcoming for beginners — something that mixes slice‑of‑life anime feel with easy shogi explanations.
I’m pretty much handling the writing, shogi teaching, and panel layout, but I’m looking for an artist who wants to be involved creatively in the story, not just someone who draws what I say. You’d be welcome to:
- help shape the characters’ personalities
- suggest story ideas or jokes
- design the club room and world
- influence how the teaching moments look
- add your own touches to scenes and pacing
This is unpaid collaboration for fun and shogi (pun intended) while building something unique together (where the number of books about shogi you can count on 2 hands - 7 {on nook bookstore} and no comics.)
