What so you guys think I could have done to stand a chance against this extremely legitly strong player? I'm at a loss for words

Improve joseki( I need DAT too)
Thanks! Im sure that if i do that, I will definitely beat smackinbomb when i come up against them in the future! Because obviously improving my joseki will allow me to counter their extremely strong moves!

Did you see the "You lost to a cheater" message?
If so, the player smackinbomb was using software to play.
If not, the player may have been banned for something else.
Yeah, it's unfortunate.
One of the big giveaways is the consistent time usage during all phases of the game; no normal player is going to spend the same amount of time in the opening as in the midgame.
I remember a long time ago I lost a couple games against some guy and on my 3rd game I realized he was using exactly the same amount of thinking time almost every move, no matter how simple or how tricky the position. I just straight up asked him in the chat which engine he was using, and whether he could recommend me a good one, and he resigned and left lol
