If you're a beginner in Chu Shogi, and maybe still don't know all moves or all rules (for example, Lion Trade rules), then you can try to play handicap games.
How does this work? We just go to menu Tools -> Board editor and select Chu Shogi variant, and create some initial position. Then we copy SFEN, and create new game -> with friend -> from position, and paste there SFEN. After you have selected side (sente/gote), you can invite friend by link or by challenging Lishogi user.
Example of Chu Shogi handicaps:
Two Lions -> just Kirin flipped to Lion on initial position

Three Lions -> same as Two Lions plus Phoenix is replaced by second promoted Kirin, thus having 3 Lions. Note that the opposite side has 2 Phoenixes.
