Nah, these pests have the tendency to reappear shortly after getting banned. The main appeal of lishogi, that you can easily create a new account within seconds, is also a weakness. That's why I think the constant presence of moderators is vital to a forum, any forum, once it crosses a certain amount of exposure.

And once this problem is under control, you can tackle the bigger issue of blatant cheating on this site, which so far goes mainly unpunished.
