Openings

I have started playing shogi few time ago, and I am confused with one thing: how do I learn openings for Gote? In lishogi studys there are only openings for Sente mainly, with very few exceptions and I have problems to learn how to play the early-game with white. Same thing aplies for YouTube videos and tutorials. If someone could tell me where I can find opening theory for gote I would be very thankfull. And, by the way, what are your favourite openings :) ?

most openings that work for sente will also work for gote. true that as gote, you'l start with a little less initiative, and so you'l need to be just a little more vigilant
may I ask: what opening/s have you been trying to learn?

@Papermask , I usually play Ureshino as Sente and I try to play Gokigen Central Rook as Gote, but when my oponent plays P-24 as his first move it gets complicated. I usually try to adjust the move order to end up in a similar position, but I would prefer to learn an alternative opening against it (maybe Aigakari?).

@NamahageOni , I am also pretty new to shogi. I play fourth file rook with mino castle as my opening. I am not really too much experienced with other openings. If you want to try mino castle sometime remember not to let the opponent attack you on the last files. That's when mino castle starts cracking.

ah I see. yes, ureshino style really benefits when it has the starting move
you could still use it as gote, if you like?
central rook is generally a good opening

sounds like you'r having a little trouble with static rook openings
they can be quite effective at starting the attack

I often use climbing silver, 4th file rook, and opposing rook

@Stonefortune thanks for the idea :).

@Papermask thanks for the recomendations, I will take them into account. I will probably try oposing rook since its easy to learn (or that's what I have heard) and seems like a good opening to me.
