Swiss Classical Tournament #3 - Round 5 - Board 8: Shogi_isleofmen vs Sofyf_shogiplayer

@Shogi_isleofMen I will give my opinion, but the referees have the last word. You may wait for me to the scheduled hour. According to the rules if your opponent does not present to the scheduled hour, or 30 minutes after the scheduled hour, you have the right to claim the victory. I want to point out that we already scheduled an hour and I accepted, 🤷🏽♀️ but later an issue came into my life and then I may or may not play at that time. So right now you have two options: 1. To be at the scheduled hour and claim victory or 2. To reschedule another day and another hour.
🌞 Well that's my opinion. have a good day!

@Shogi_isleofMen Generally, the tournament was designed the way that players have plenty of time to play the round.

You still have one week. I believe that's enough time to reschedule for another day. Also, keep some space for possible adjournment.

The mentioned option (wait 30 minutes on the agreed 8th Dec 16:00 UTC and claim the absence) is still valid.

But do you really want that? If you're up for the game, try rescheduling the game.

@sofyf_shogiplayer, in this particular situation, you have to adapt to the other schedule options that @Shogi_isleofMen might suggest.

I agree with AlexTrick, it's a simple reschedule, and sofy did not fail in communicating. Also, you guys have a whole week to play.
Please, @sofyf_shogiplayer , remember what I ve told you a few rounds ago; give your opponent more proposals regarding time, for many people don't like, can't or are just too tired to play that late in the evening. Maybe, propose something in late afternoon UTC, like 16-17-18 etc

@Shogi_isleofMen they say to reschedule, I propose the next Wednesday, please chose a range of hours from 12:00 utc fo 24:00 utc, I will try to play at that hour that you choose, 🌞 have a nice day!

Excuse me, just for guys who are not native English-speakers. In my language, the term "next Wednesday" refers to Wednesday after a full week. And for the nearest Wednesday I say something like "this Wednesday". I might be totally working in terms of correct English. But the point was that it is confusing for non-native speakers.

I suggest always duplicate the info about the date during scheduling so it helps with clarity

In this case, I suppose, the suggested date was Wednesday 10th December, because the next one is out of round
