And thank you to all the participants that make this event so special and so unique for the community.This third edition we had the staggering number of 17 players, the biggest number so far, with many new players. Hopefully, next year we'll be even more!
We are also making trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, that will be shown on the players profiles, also to be given retroactively to the winners of the first 2 editions.

However, the tournament isn't truly over. We have a tie for second between me, @DoubleD91, and @AlexTrick.

As discussed on discord, there will be a tiebreak match between Alex and me, and it will be regulated as follow:

1. The game will have a 30 sec increment from move 1;
2. Players will bid a secret amount of "base time" inferior to 30 mins, and the bid will be send to @Galago; whoever bids less takes sente but will have to play with the time disadvantage. Needless to say, the bid must remain secret so that neither of the contestants know the opponents' bid. Once we have established the time odds we can create a game with the lowest time set for both players, adding then more time to gote till the right amount of time is given.
I.E. If player A bids 24m 15 sec and player B bids 15 m, B will play sente but will only have 15 minutes on the clock against gote's 24m 15 sec. Given that to create the time odds we'll use the "give time"button, which gives 15 sec x click, the bids will be made of units of 15 secs (10m 15 sec, 10 m 30 sec, 10m 45 sec etc).
3. In the unlikely scenario in which both of us bid the same amount, the base time will be shifted to that amount for the next bid.
4. Adjournment is possible in case of need, and must be accepted once if the opponent offers it. We don't want a forfeit win because one of the player had an emergency of some kind and must leave the session.
5. In case of an unlikely draw, the game will have to be played with colours and time reversed.

We'll share here the game and the results of the match, with the complete final standings for this edition. Stay tuned.

News: The game has started today and has been adjourned at move 184; we will resume sometimes in the second week of January, most likely. Stay tuned.

Edit for further info: Alex has bid 29 m 30 sec, I ve bid 19 m 30 sec , with "whoever bids lower gets sente"; therefore the game has been set DoubleD91(sente) vs AlexTrick (gote), with him starting with 10 minutes extra.
